Laurie Borders is a 62-year-old woman who lives alone in the 1950's-era house she's owned for 20-years. She needed help with severe drainage issues in her driveway and front lawn, as well as flashing & masonry repairs to her chimney. Several years ago, Ms. Borders had broken "every bone in her back". Five doctors said she wouldn't walk again but she proved them wrong, recovering sufficiently to become a long haul truck driver. Today she is disabled and needs a hip replacement. She continues to care for herself and her home, and really needed our help.
Living Hope Fellowship in Aloha adopted this project, and sent project leaders and volunteers to help with the work. We installed a new sump-pump and discharge pipe to deal with the drainage issues in her driveway and yard, repaired her broken chimney, and got rid of moss on the roof. We had a great crew who worked fast and efficiently to complete this project for Ms. Borders.
