Wahed Sheetrock/Painting Project

Mr. Wahed lives in his Tualatin home with his wife and two adult daughters - both of whom are college students, one at University of Portland and the other at University of Oregon. He had a successful career in I.T. , and was otherwise very active, before being diagnosed with a rare disease called Fibrous Dysplasia.  This debilitating disease has resulted in physical and financial challenges.

The roof of the home was in terrible condition, and we replaced a portion of it last year.  The roof had leaked this past winter, causing sheetrock damage in the kitchen and garage.  A few of our "Handle-It" regulars patched/textured the kitchen sheetrock and our team painted the ceiling in the whole kitchen/dining room area.  We also replaced some sheetrock in the garage, with just a single layer of fire-taping.

We partnered with Grace Chapel to mobilize a small team of 4-6 people for most of the day.
