Shawn Mitchell - Executive Director
Shawn & Marina Mitchell were the founding Co-Leaders of the whole Catalyst vision in 2007. Before starting Catalyst, Shawn was in full-time church ministry for 13-years. Shawn is now the part-time Executive Director for both Catalyst Partnerships and its supporting church Catalyst Network. Marina works as a group fitness instructor at Bay Club Portland, and is a Master Instructor/Educator with Stages Indoor Cycling. Shawn & Marina live in Tualatin, OR, and have 2 adult kids.
Kirsten Williams - Assistant Director
Kirsten has been volunteering with Catalyst since 2012. Within a few years, she was helping to organize projects in partnership with her church (Sunset Church), and eventually served for many years on our board of directors. Kirsten joined our staff team in 2023 as Assistant Director to help Shawn run this crazy thing; helping to manage staff, processes, and special events. Her professional background is in Process Engineering, and she lives in Beaverton, OR, with her awesome husband. They have 4 grown daughters.
Darrell Kriechbaum - Construction Manager
Darrell has been involved with Catalyst since his wife dragged him along to volunteer at a roof-replacement project for a low-income elderly couple in 2012. He was hooked, and kept coming back to project after project until we were able hire him in 2017. Darrell has been a licensed general contractor since the 1990’s, has a wealth of industry knowledge, and has a huge heart for people. He and his wife Jackie live in North Portland, OR, have 2 adult kids and one awesome grandson.
JJ Milmore - Operations Manager
JJ has been involved with Catalyst since volunteering for a roof project in 2012. After that, he just kept showing-up and getting more involved! JJ manages all the financial accounting, IT, and other operational stuff for both Catalyst organizations; and we're very thankful for his expertise. JJ and his wife Shonda spent 3-years as missionaries in Thailand, and returned in 2019. They live in Kaiser with their little fluffy dog.
Marty Brown - Care Network
Marty joined the Catalyst staff in September 2021. He previously was in full-time ministry with Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, and served on college campuses with Cru. Marty brings a wealth of experience and giftedness that will help Catalyst to love people well. He and his wife Margaret live in Molalla, and have 3 adults kids.
Linda Owen - Administrative Assistant
Linda has been involved with Catalyst since volunteering as a new Project Advocate in 2014. She is well-known in Catalyst circles for her gentle & kind spirit, and spends a lot of her time on the phone with clients - listening, consoling, and coordinating services. Linda is a puppy-raiser for Guide Dogs For The Blind, and lives with her dogs in Tigard, OR. She has two adult kids, and two awesome granddaughters.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
