Who We Are
Catalyst Partnerships started in September 2007 as an informal grass-roots movement, consisting of a few families and individuals who simply wanted to help neighbors who needed assistance with home repairs due to physical or financial limitations. Catalyst Partnerships was registered as a Public Charity on August 1, 2008, and was recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 on March 1, 2010.
Since our inception we have worked with thousands of volunteers to complete hundreds of projects in the Portland Metro Area of Oregon. Catalyst Partnerships has a six member Board of Directors. Operations are led by Founder/Executive Director Shawn Mitchell, a small paid staff, and dozens of volunteer staff and projects leaders.
