Rodin Project
September 24-26 in Milwaukie

Ms. Rodin lives in the Milwaukie mobile home she has owned for 4-years. She suffers from chronic respiratory issues, has limited mobility, and is recovering from Multiple Myeloma Cancer. The cost of Cancer treatments had forced her to take out mortgages on her family’s farm. She couldn't make the payments and "lost the farm", literally. In spite of these setbacks, she feels that she lives in a really good community where people support each other, and has a wonderful attitude. Park management was requiring that Ms. Rodin’s home be painted, and a volunteer food-box deliverer from Abundant Life Church told her to reach out to Catalyst for help.
ALC volunteers came together with Catalyst last Summer to make siding & exterior porch repairs, and then painted the exterior of the house…this was phase 1. Phase 2 was to repair the terribly damaged roof, which had active leaks in several locations. This Summer, we returned to replace the roof & gutters. 37 Volunteers rallied together to provide 205 volunteer hours to get this job done!
Partnering with us on this project was Abundant Life Church, mobilizing volunteers. Also partnering was Malarkey Roofing Projects, donating all of the asphalt shingles, low-pitched rolled roofing, and underlayment!
