fullsizeoutput1a0eMs. Brown is a low-income elderly woman who lives alone in her double-wide mobile home.  She has owned her home for 26-years, and has no family members left to help her with things.  She was referred to us by her neighbor across the street who we served last Summer (see 2016 "Allen/Sleeper Project").  We took care of some landscaping needs for her - trimming/pruning some bushes & small trees, repaired her front porch lattice and some skirting, as well as powerwashing & painting the exterior of her home.

We also pruned 5-6 small trees for Ms. Brown's neighbor across the street, Mr. Llewellyn, who needed some help.

Here's a brief report, from Crew Chief Travis Hundley: "
We had a fantastic Saturday!  A little over 20 people were on site. We broke up into two teams which focused on yardwork for the two properties and painting Mrs. Brown's home. By mid day we were 85% complete and retained approximately 8 to 10 people to do the final touch up. The team was incredibly efficient and worked very well together. It was exciting to watch people interact with each other and still stay focused on the project. Everybody was sincerely dedicated to the task at hand and very skilled.  The materials as well as the equipment was estimated perfectly :-). We made one store run to pick up a set of pruning shears. It went very well and wrapped up by 3:30."

Another great project with a fantastic crew of volunteers.  Way to go team!
