We mobilized volunteers to restore Ms. Henderson's basement to safety / usability, replaced all the basement windows, got rid of a lot of debris around the property, and some other smaller projects.  It was a fantastic project, and really made a difference in Ms. Henderson's life....as well as the volunteers

We were joined on this project by a group of fantastic volunteers associated with Portland Rescue Mission who came on Friday.  They were incredibly helpful, and we're looking forward to developing an ongoing partnership with them on future projects!  Mike, the group leader, had this to say about his experience:

"On Friday May 14th I had the privilege of leading 5 volunteers on a service project with Catalyst NW.  We worked on a low-income widow's basement cleaning out garbage, scraping walls, painting, and replacing windows.  The participants worked hard, developed relationships with other volunteers, the homeowner and a sweet lab named Kelsey :).  What a blessing Friday was to me, the participants, the homeowner and all that were involved."

Thanks to all the volunteers who came out on Friday and Saturday to help change Ms. Henderson's life - you're all incredible!
