IMG 1698Mr. Kierig is a single 44-year-old man who lives alone in the mobile home he has owned for 19-years. Catalyst volunteers from Community of Hope Lutheran Church did some work for him back in 2019, which involved replacing windows and the surrounding materials of his bay window.  They did great work, which mitigated part of the water-intrusion problems he was having; unfortunately, leaks continued to penetrate through the roof.  As we looked further, it was obvious that his roof was not only in need of replacement, but that some of the structural members were also failing.

We tarped the roof last year, and returned this Summer to do the full demo, repairs, and replacement of the roof.  This was scheduled to be big 3-day project, but ended-up taking 8-CONSECUTIVE-DAYS of heavy work for Construction Manager Darrell Kriechbaum and the "Handle-It" Regulars who stuck with him after the weekend was over.  You won't believe the photos, so be sure to take a look - About 600 square-feet of roof/ceiling/rotted trusses (everything) came off and was rebuilt.  These faithful workers are truly amazing heroes!

We partnered with Malarkey Roofing Products and Community of Hope Lutheran Church to give Mr. Kierig a brand-new, non-leaky roof!  Malarkey donated all of the shingles and underlayment, and Community of Hope  mobilized volunteers to help with the work!  As if that wasn't enough, when it appeared that the project had become a really big deal, Carson Puppo from Peak Performance Roofing came and worked several days, and provided materials and labor for torch down roofing, all at no cost!

A huge thank you to so many volunteers that came and spent all week repairing the roof and blessing Mr. Kierig!
