Ms. Kuhn lives alone in her 1938 home in Tigard. Her husband passed away in Summer 2015 after battling cancer, he was a US Army Veteran. He was also very strong and handy around the house, and had been working on several remodeling projects before his untimely death. Ms. Kuhn was left alone in a home with several unfinished projects, as well as critical repairs that needed fixing as soon as possible. She is in poor health, suffering from osteoporosis and other issues, and she really needed our help.
Catalyst initiated a big makeover for Ms. Kuhn, paving the way for her to stay in her home. We partnered with the Tigard Home Depot, Habitat For Humanity, and a brave 16-year-old going for his Eagle Scout, to mobilize 50 volunteers over 3-weeks!
Home Depot Foundation pitched-in for materials with a $3,800 Grant!
Habitat For Humanity took care of hauling away debris, and is returning this Spring/Summer to do the roof, ext. paint, and other repairs
Alex the Eagle Scout came through with friends, family, scouts, and 2 awesome contractors
