Lopez Project
April 8 in Cornelius
Ms. Lopez lives with one of her two daughters in a single-wide mobile home in Cornelius. They’ve lived there for many years, and take good care of the home. Ms. Lopez’s daughter has special needs, and they are low-income. The trailer is in generally good shape, but the original single-paned louvered windows were no longer closing properly, and some had broken glass. They needed to cover the windows with heavy blankets during the winter months to stay warm & dry. On Saturday, April 8, we mobilized a crew of 17 volunteers to replace the windows. They worked amazingly fast, and did a fantastic job!
