Mr. & Mrs. McLean have owned their modest home for 37-years. Mrs. McLean suffers with severe allergies that necessitated the removal of all the carpeting in their home. But removing carpeting while a home is being lived in is no easy thing…especially because Mr. McLean recently had back surgery, and is also struggling with Multiple Myloma Cancer. These are lovely people who needed a big group of helpers to give them a hand-up!
This job required everything to be removed from the main living area and two bedrooms of the home so that the carpet & pad could be pulled and disposed of. Underneath were the original wood floors! So after two days of repairs and cleaning, we moved everything back into the house from the temporary rented storage POD in their driveway. In the process, we also needed to re-set an exterior door and fill-in about 40sf of missing wood floor.
Mr. & Mrs. McLean are long-time friends with Pastor Bob Johnson, from The Bridge Church in Wilsonville. The Church partnered on this project with Catalyst, providing volunteers, love and muscles to get the job done!
