Wilson FenceMs. Wilson is a 52-year-old single woman who owns her home but is low-income. She suffers from COPD and is under a lot of stress related to medical problems, COVID-prompted unemployment, and neighbors' complaints about the condition of her yard. The City of Tigard insisted she do some clean-up, and particularly repair the fence surrounding her yard. She couldn't afford to do this and contacted Catalyst for help when referred to us by the City of Tigard.

The entire 200-foot fence needed replacement. From a volunteer standpoint, the project was ideal for a large group or organization, because it is very accessible and fairly simple. From a monetary standpoint this was costly due to the inflated prices of cedar fencing and pressure-treated lumber. Our awesome team of volunteers completed this project for Ms. Wilson, so that this stress was taken off her shoulders, and the beauty of the neighborhood restored!  Thank you so much Westside AJC for stepping up and helping out Ms. Wilson and her community.
