Siegert Project
April 21-22 in Clackamas

52838341913 3a3957406f cMs. Siegert is a 72 year-old disabled widow who has some significant disabilities. She has owned her mobile home for 43-years, and lives there now with her 69 year-old sister.  There were several repair items that needed to be addressed for them to avoid eviction.  Cases like this are becoming more common, as the market for mobile home spots has risen in recent years; prompting management companies to "force out" the older units, and those who call them home.

Ms. Siegert had a list of required repairs with a deadline, and even received additional repair items in response to Catalyst's commitment to help.  As angry as this made many of us, we put out a last-minute call on Saturday morning to bolster volunteer numbers so we could get everything done.  Amazingly, 10 additional people showed up that day, and every one of the items was addressed!  Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers!

The front porch deck and cover were replaced, a concrete walkway was poured, landscaping cleanup was done, and lots of other things were taken care of as well.

Our awesome partners from JE Dunn mobilized about 20 volunteers, almost all of them working at the site on Friday the 21st.  They did amazing work! They were followed on Saturday by about 15 other volunteers.  It was a whirlwind!
