Ms. Ballinger lives alone in her 1980's-era manufactured home. She has been trying to keep it up, and we helped her with some flooring issues earlier this year.
Her roof leaked badly over her kitchen. She had a tarp on her roof which the mobile park management would not allow much longer. We tore off the old roof which exposed severe structural issue with the roofs framing. We jacked up the roof which had sagged 6 inches in the middle of the home and installed a beam the length of the home which we supported with several posts. Once we addressed the structural issues we installed a new skylight, replaced plywood on the roof where needed and prepared the roof for shingles. Our amazing partner at Ability Roofing came and installed the roof so that Ms. Ballinger will not have to worry about leaks in her home moving forward. We had 32 volunteers serve on this project and they put in a total of 143 hours to get the job done.
