Lowrie Project in Tigard

Mr. Lowrie is an 84-year-old blind man living in the manufactured home that he and his wife have owned for 24-years. Their only income is from social security, and their home was built back in the 1960’s. The park where they live have repeatedly given them eviction notices for maintenance items throughout the years, attempting to get their old home out of the park; but we have been working with them since 2013 to keep them safe, dry and stable!
This time , the Lowrie's requested exterior painting of the home. Due to pressure from park management, we decided to make their old mobile home beautiful. We pressure washed, scraped and caulked prior to painting. The home was painted with two colors and the skirting at the left side driveway was also repaired.
Our amazing volunteers really came through on this project. The project was planned for Friday and Saturday, but due to a forecast of rain on Saturday our volunteers rallied and completed the entire project on Friday!! 22 volunteers worked 121 hours on Friday to get the job done! WOW!
